About Us

Our Story

Born from a commitment to justice, rooted in truth, lived experience, and a vision of liberation

Beatrice Anomah, founder of Radically Rooted

The Journey

Radically Rooted was founded by Beatrice Anomah who having navigated multiple complex system of oppression and inequity which became the foundation for transformative change work. Growing up witnessing the impacts of racial injustice, environmental racism, and healthcare disparities, even without the language for it then, she somehow knew, that her life's work would be dedicated to dismantling these systems.

After years of engaging with her own communities, advocating and mobilising for change, she recognised that sustainable change requires working within institutions while maintaining accountability to affected & marginalised communities. Radically Rooted was born from this tension to meet organisations where they are while never compromising on truth-telling and justice.

Her approach is deeply informed by Black feminist thought, ancestral & decolonial practices, and healing justice. She believes that transformation happens when we look inward, challenge systems and get uncomfortable with accepting the status quo to create systems and institutions where joy & justice exist for all.

Today, Radically Rooted collaborates on projects, research, and works with organisations across sectors, bringing anti-racism, justice, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment to equity into every engagement.

Our Principles

We ground our work in principles that honour complexity, centre healing, and demand accountability.

Truth, Repair & Transformation

Justice requires more than acknowledgement. It demands truth, healing and action. We support organisations in making material changes that repair harm and redistribute power systemically.

Decoloniality

We challenge Eurocentric ways of doing and being, honouring more than one story, memory, truth, indigenous wisdom, ancestral knowledge systems and the genius of black and brown communities globally.

Intersectionality

We recognise that systems of oppression are interconnected. Racial disparities are compounded by inequalities across gender, class, sexuality, ability, and other identities shape our experiences, which must be centered in our justice work.

Our Values

Truth-telling

We name injustice clearly, surface hidden stories through education, create spaces for honest, often uncomfortable conversations, that start the journey of real change.

Justice

We pursue equity in processes, not just intentions, holding ourselves and partners accountable to systemic transformation.

Joy

We celebrate Black joy, cultural vibrancy, and the beauty of resistance. Joy is not frivolous, it is revolutionary.

Equity

We center those most impacted by oppression in decision-making and resource distribution, ensuring justice is not theoretical but lived and power is equitably shared.
